A Visitor’s Guide to Downtown Boulder

Will you be visiting Boulder, Colorado in the near future?  If so, then you’ll certainly want to know what there is to see and do in the area.  Thankfully, you will find plenty of opportunities for enjoyment in downtown Boulder alone, much less in the surrounding area.  Below, you will find some of the best options for visitors to this beautiful city.

Pearl Street Mall – One of the most entertaining places to go, whether you want to shop or people watch, is the Pearl Street Mall.  You’ll find this location relatively close to the tourist/hotel section of town, so you can actually walk there in good weather.  This gives you a chance to enjoy the green streets of the city.

Pearl Street Mall offers a wide range of different shopping options, from clothing stores to art, from jewelry to sporting goods.  You will also find plenty of eateries if you want to grab some breakfast while you’re out.

Boulder Creek – Boulder Creek runs right through downtown Boulder, and offers you an excellent place to rest and relax, enjoy a picnic or let the kids play for a while.  There are quite a few park areas on the banks of the creek, and you will find no shortage of grassy spots to rest.  There is also a 7-mile walking/jogging path, called Boulder Creek Path, on which you can stroll and enjoy the atmosphere and natural beauty.

More Shopping – If you want some more shopping options, you can venture out into the city.  You will find the greatest concentration of shops on Pearl Street, though there are also many on Broadway, and several on 10th Street, as well.  You can shop for anything you might want, from new bike tires to jewelry, from handmade garments and knickknacks to fine art and everything in between.

East End – If you have exhausted the many options on Pearl Street, then you might decide to head down to the East End.  Here, you’ll find plenty more shopping options, as well as plenty of dining options and boutiques.  This is a true shopper’s delight, as you will find any number of local businesses to supply your needs, from coffee shops to baby clothing stores.

Evening Music – After you have shopped and explored all that downtown Boulder has to offer, you can head out and catch some great music with the Bands on the Bricks, though this only happens on Wednesday nights during the summer months.
